Record Snowfall of April 14-15, 1921
This historic storm not only holds the record for the most snowfall in 24 hours in the state, it also holds the record for the country! About 76 inches fell in 24 hours, 87 accumulated in 27.5 hours, and 95 inches were measured in 32.5 hours. This Monthly Weather Review article from 1953 assesses the accuracy of this record.
